Tara and Edmundo, two science-loving adventurers, fell in love and, in 2017, left the concrete jungle to start fresh on Edmundo’s island home. Tara, a passionate beer enthusiast with a Chemistry degree, noticed the lack of craft beer and decided to brew her own. With Edmundo’s Engineering skills, they tackled the unique challenges of island life. Friends and family became taste testers, and their encouraging feedback fueled the dream. By 2020, they purchased land and began a four-year journey to build Azores Brewing Company. Now, one of the very few female Head Brewers in Europe brings premium craft beer to the heart of the Atlantic. Cheers!
